This is how it was when we picked it from Lincs in March

With Krieger CCts and upgraded R?R installed and bodywork awaiting paint

All back together and just needing fuel - Vik running to the petrol station

Hard to believe it's Oct and in the 80s!

Graphics are minimalist as the vinyl tail logo went on fine but the remaining chrome decals wouldn't stick on the fresh paint which scuppered that plan.
Apart from that all went well on reassembly, I installed inline fuel filters just in case but after warming it up and just as we were heading out for a well deserved and much needed pint. the bike began cutting out and was just running on one cylinder. A quick shufty under the tank showed fuel only running to one filter ?? Took the blocked one off and blew it through, which seemed to get it runnning, then it cut out again. Wiggle the fuel pipe seem to unkink it - tog up gain with sunset approching and thirst getting critical it cuts out again. I suspect either pipe kinkage or paint from the resprayed tank is causing the problem as near the filler is bubbling as if the fuel is acting like paint stripper (not sure if the lacquer is petrol resistant , and despite the appearance the tank was well masked up any paint dust in the tank would be curdling into sludge eeek!
edit - Could be a kinky pipe causing the problem... http://www.vtr1000.org/phpBB3/viewtopic ... 15&start=0
Has anyone had any problems with Fuel filters fitted - do they allow enough flow as some types seem designed for pressurised sytems with fuel pumps.
