Have decided that heated grips are a good idea following last weekends early morning ride out to Wales and freezing my fingers in race gloves [even with under gloves], but I dont like the big chunky Oxford grips on a sports bike!
I have seen a solution where you just buy the heater section on a thin plastic sheet and then refit your stock grips [or nice soft renthals] back on top:
like these ones http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/150570791114? ... 1423.l2649
Has anybody got any experience with these, do they work, had any problems? other forums [including dirt bike groups think they are good]
Also saw that Oxford do a "Sport" version of their heated grips, is this a slimmer softer grip compared to the normal version?

Re: Heated Grips -what do you use?
I've been using toasty warm Daytona heated grips for a few years -

I bought some cheap Chinese versions of the ones you have linked to amcq and they burnt out within a couple of uses (full on smoke pouring out the front of the bike) on the other hand (pardon the pun) my brother bought some the same as those you have linked to from america about 3 years ago and has had them on his blade since, even using almost daily one winter to commute to uni in Swansea (150 mile round trip), and he changed them on to new bars after he binned his bike and has had no problems with them, so i would say go for them but dont be tempted by the cheap ones

Ive got oxfords on the bike when i brought it. I think you get what you pay for more you pay the better they are ????

I've got some oxford overgrips, they do look fairly hideous and large when on the bike. Work well though, and you can take them off when not required (Summer..)

Got a set of Oxford ones on the other bike but never used surely those wind deflectors would be better for the knuckles not pretty tho.
