whats your best ever bargain on ebay

Post by agentpineapple »

as the title suggests, after reading about lloyds recent bargain, i was wondering what have been your best bargain. thru ebay/the forum/ gumtree.....
i think mine was, 3 pieces of bodywork, tail fairing/moriwaki style bellypan and a slightly worse for wear undertray.
bought for £57.50 including postage.
i reckon they could have fetched the best part of a £100 sold via auction instead of buy it now, there loss is my gain i suppose, having been shafted twice for £100 each time on ebay, i deserved a little bit of luck......
so who else has nabbed a bargain?

The best bargain I ever got, though at the time I thought I'd been shafted, was for a Apple Mac sonnet processor upgrade for £300 through ebay.

Bought it plugged it in and it didn't work, asked the guy for refund but he was young & stoopid and ignored me, so got my money refunded through paypal protection. Then with a bit of research found that the manufacturer offered a warranty so shipped the knackered processor back to the States for a new working one effectively for the price of P&P - this was an option the original seller had overlooked to my advantage.

i had that with a old p4 (when they were new lol)
the clip that clips the cpu on the heatsink had come away and i rang to see if they could send me a new clip....
i was bothered that the processor may have got too hot so they sent me a new processor, heatsink / cooler (one of them ice jobbies it was), fans, heat paste etc, the lot, no questions asked and didnt even want the old ones back!!!

Race rear sets for my old blade 99p
And I sold them for £250 when I got the storm .

Arrow race sprung split full exhaust system for the blade £40 worth over a grand sold for £500

Oh and my new high level exhaust £25 not selling
It's all about being online at the right time .
I pulled over in a lay buy for a smoke. Tonight and seen kev-l post then to clicks later the exhaust were mine . Had I not stopped I'm sure bsm would of had them
:)

Can't ride but it don't stop me trying

Probably the SP2 engine I just bought for £77 delivered.

Wonder if they'll actually go through with it?

Just a frame, forks, some wheels, and a few bolts needed and I'll have one for less than £200, which was my budget, this side of Christmas.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
