i had a ride of my mates new 2010 gsxr1000 yesterday, i it's hell of a bike, so light and agile, not to mention f-ing fast, its only done 400 miles has lots of extras and he paid the princely sum of £6500 thats a bargain in anyones book. i know il4's are not everyones cup of tea but you can't knock modern chassis technology. this thing was amazing. i had to be careful tho, cold tyres,greasy roads and 160+bhp/174kg with no electrickery!!11
if ever you get the chance to ride one, be careful because it could make your firestorm feel like an old ponderess bus.........
although i still think my bike has more character.............

I took out a mates 08 gaxr750 for a good run great track bike but on the road not so good as you can't use the power it has ,unlike the storms grunt use it every where
.

I think that's the best bit of the Storm, it has real world power where it is easily used. It also has the benefit of tuning the delivery to where you want it with the help of the workshop elves from here & across the pond.
Ultimate power, nice place to visit but I wouldn't want to live there.

That's what I thought when i tested my "Storm".........."Real World Power" and up to treble figures just as quick as my old Blackbird, But a lot lighter in fact 50 odd kilos lighter! more nimble (steers quicker) and against the modern sports bike has miles more character, And that's why I'm starting to spend so much money on the old Bastid it's becoming a proper money pit! But i'm sure I will be rewarded next year when the Sun shines.....Here's Hoping

was out with my mate last sunday up the borders road a696 from newcastle lovely day hes on a gsxr1000 08 plate stunning bike sounds great and left me on accelaration but caught him quite quickly had 134 fist time over 110 and bike felt solid i love my firestorm even though its my firsy bike ever lol

My m8 has had Gixers for the last 16 yrs,Had a ride on my Firestorm and turned up next weekend on a firestorm! Traded the Gixer and can't stop talking about VTR's. That was 18 months ago.

I made it as far as "Bonchester Bridge area.....Small World! You can see why Steve Hislop used it for training runs

One of my favourite rides is up through Keilder,Bonchester Bridge, Hawick and from there any direction they're all great roads
