So, here is the deal. I got the high mount Two Brothers pipes when I was dating a woman with her own bike, a ZX9R. When she and I wanted to ride on one bike, we took hers, so I didn’t need rear pegs. We broke up, so all of a sudden I needed rear pegs!
The long bolts were easy. Allen head grade 8 bolts that were about 3.5 inches long, a couple of washers… no problem.
I was walking around the hardware store… looking for metal tube to make the spacer. No way in hell. A 3 cm outer measurement and a 1.5 cm inner? No way. I kept walking around… what metal would be strong enough to hold a person, and I could cut with a hack saw or something simple? No way, not going to happen. And then I walked by the sockets…
That is when I saw something like this:

I knew a socket could handle the weight. I didn’t have to cut anything, they are the right length. The ends are cut perfectly square, no worries there. My biggest worry was what my friends would say!
Presto! I had my rear peg extensions!

As luck would have it, my ex-gf and I see each other a bit, and she has no issues on the pegs. She is an Amazon, at 5-10 barefoot and about 165 lbs.
I bit cheesy I know... but they work great!
