Might be time to put an isolator on one of the battery terminals- something's drawing a tiny bit of current somewhere, and there's no alarm fitted, so it's not that.....[/quote]

Tony...If everything you have on the Bike is fused? I find this little meter very useful to see exactly what circuit is drawing what, and what is drawing current when the ignition is switched off!

That looks like a nice little tool to have, thanks, I'll pick one up Monday.

But of my suspicion is correct, it's the Yamaha six-terminal RR that's doing it.
Although output is perfect, I have a feeling that it drains to earth slightly.
If I use the bike every day, or at least every two or three days, there's enough left to crank it over, even on icy days.

However if I leave it for a week it won't.
Now I know that batt's lose a little charge when they're standing, but I wouldn't have thought that much.

I have a solar panel that keeps it topped up nicely, but it's not waterproof, so i cna't leave it permanently connected. In the summer I leave the bike out the front of the house, and I have a power socket there for a trickle charger, but in winter it lives behind the house for security reasons, ad don't have power available from an outside socket.
Probably the easiest solution is to fit one....

What I need is a solar-powered Optimate; I know you can get them, but can't really justify the cost, and really I'd prefer to see if the battery or the RR (or another circuit) is causing the drop-down.
But I'd rather spend the money on a LiFePo lightweight batt.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Oxford heated grips fitted weekend before last.
Relay fitted this weekend to stop them draining battery if left on.

Pinlock Visor fitted to my Vision R , sort of counts IMO 8)
It's only easy if you know the answer!
