can diamiter

Post by seb421 »

Scorpion cans,

i have high-mount pipes on mine a the moment, does any one know what the diameter of a scorpion high mount link pipe is?

like the pipes being higher up but dont like the end cans, only got them as i got the whole lot off ebay cheep as the blue flames were buggered.

looking to posibly keep the pipes and use a different end cans

very much like the cans on Benny's tho, with the upwards / inwards sweep to them (looks rather factory spec) any one know how much they was or if there were specially made?

I reckon he fell off, once on each side, and just left 'em like it....
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

theyre laser 'dual sound' cans m8... i got them from someone here (cant remember who sorry!) for 120 iirc.. absolute bargain.
they were to replace the new to me carbon vipers which i demolished when i binned it lol!

they were mint when i got them (and still are!) & no i didnt fall off and bend them like that... they're sposed to be like that i think!
they do look & sound very different & i like them a lot.
the link pipes flare out to about 70mm which i think helps make the deeper than usual tone.

one of my winter jobs is to repack them and clean them up proper as i intend to keep these ones on :)

they are now discontinued afaik, for the firestorm anyway.

any good panel monkey can make anything tbh.... you should see the ones cheeky kev fabbed up for his sp2, they look bob on (apart from the blobby welds lol) - very similar to the linkys on mine tbh.

ive not seen any others like em.

mtc will make any can to suit but afaik they do not make their own link pipes.

just fyi, blue flame are back in business now.. some ex employees bought the company & the name and set up under the company name 'tube science' in skem.
was in there the other week fixing their compressors - they have now also pinched the design of my diy baffles!

wow didn't know they was out of business, i know the quality went off and they didn't offer that fancy better built EVO models for ages but wasn't aware they closed.

its the link pipes on yours i liked a lot, if i contacted some where that can make them would the need my bike or just be able to look at a picture of yours and fab them up?

i know bugger all about metal working etc, so sorry if i sound silly mate. most the tools we have here are 25 + years old that my Dad took from Edbros as a young man

id love to have money to kit out the garage and actually be able to knock out some bits

Shitbox might have to pay a nominal amount for the privilege but least the service works when you want it too, + the benefit of a party chat with out all the yanks and kids, had a PS3 and got shut.
