Swingarm pivot gap

Post by seb421 »

hi just wondering if any one has a picture or can measure there bikes swing arm gap,

I have a load of lose pics from the right hand side of the bike but need one from the left

I've put the bike back together and on the right side the swinger fits flush to the engine as does the rear-set, on the left side of the bike there is a gap possibly of around 1.5 - 2 mm between the swingarm and the rear-set

wondering if I have dislodged the bearings in the swing arm when I put the spindle through which wont let the rear set get any closer

thanks

Perfectly normal (well the gap is on mine as well!)
It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

There's a gap because the swing up needs a small clearance to rotate, while the foot-peg hanger is fixed.

I know why there's a gap, just wondered why on one side there is more than the other, checked out a few pics on the web and all appear to be the same

some pics from Tat_man Chain and sprocket info on the knowledge base
