Bike Cameras GoPro SD vs Drift HD170
Bike Cameras GoPro SD vs Drift HD170
Loving my new Drift HD170 that the wife got me for xmas
For those of you that have a standard definition GoPro or equivalent or want to go HD but can't justify £300 Get one here - http://amzn.to/tIbSYX for £124.99 Great camera for the price. I made a video comparing it with a Standard GoPro. Youtube doesn't do the difference justice but you can see the difference.

You can deffo see a difference there. Bloody good price too.
Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level then beat you with experience!
Re: Bike Cameras GoPro SD vs Drift HD170
nice picture but looking at reviews they reckon they suffer from wind noise and reccomend a extra mic
Ill never be a sell out storm forever

yeh i found with mine that sticking a round corn plaster over the mic helps cut out the wind noise to almost zero so you can just hear the motor.
also its difficult to show the vids in 1080 as youtube reduces the resolution to 720.
the only benefit the gopro has is the watertight cse compared to the drift's rubberised housing, but mine hasnt seen any ill effects from rain or jetwashing!
(forgot it was there lol)
another good thing on the drift is it has a standard tripod mount so you can use any camera accessories with it unlike the gopro.
i got a top suction pad for mine off ebay for a fiver
will be some good footage at this years wales bash then - ive got a 16gb card in mine, unlike the 30 min vids on the gopro this thing will record all day.

You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.

I'm not sure I like the setting I have used in Sony Vegas. Its made it too letterboxy. I'll try again with a different setting.

I'll try plaster thing as the wind noise is bad, even on the low setting.benny hedges wrote:yeh i found with mine that sticking a round corn plaster over the mic helps cut out the wind noise to almost zero so you can just hear the motor.

I would film and upload them all in 1080 but my PC struggles with 720p lol You tube can manage them in 1080 mate.
I have one of the £5 suction mounts too. If only all suction was as cheap as that eh?
I just love the remote too. Awesome.

Yeah it is pretty good. I'm going for a final production version now just to get the feel of it if you get me.benny hedges wrote:perfect that george. zero lag, very stable picture.
