Exhaust port gasket required?

Post by seb421 »

Had some gaskets on order from Dave silvers for a good while now, status shows awaiting back order still

promised me they would be here yesterday, contacted them today and now its early next week sometime.

Are they needed or will the exhaust be ok with out them? will it blow badly? damage the head etc?

Cant be arsed with the train to work toning.

if you still have the old one, wrap in in tin foil and re use it. if it blows then replace it when the new parts come, if not just kee it.

if you dont still have the old ones, then I dont think it is a good idea to try and fit without. from memory, they are about 5mm thick, and you would cause problems trying to take out that slack.

The OEM honda ones are crushable copper rings, and are best worth waiting for.
It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.
