I did the frame in aerosol satin black hammerite but tbh its crap cos it isnt fuel proof.
It was just to see if i liked it in black, plus i was a bit smashed up at the time and couldnt strip it for powder coating.
Ive got most of the black off atm for a proper job.

You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.

Re: white firestorm
I'm thinking about going with black frame and swingarm myself
And there is a nice paint that I think I'll use.
Honda had a satin black colour on some VTRs. Could look good I reckon and I suspect that it will be fuel resistant aswell.
Did you just mask the engine and other parts since you didn't take the engine out?

Re: white firestorm
er well mine will look a bit different next time it's reborn...
i decided seeing as the lights are garbage theres no point having them.
plus the standard fairing weighs a ton so it'll have a lightweight track fairing & single seat for summer
i'm keeping it white as i still have a load of paint left, but might stick a castrol decal kit on it yet... see how i feel when it's back together.
frame, subframe etc are getting coated proper in black - and the pyramid belly is going back on....
also, new casings, a bit more porting on the heads, .5 oversize 11.5-1 pistons, cans repacked etc... lots to do!
might do the airbox mod ive been contemplating too - ie, remove it & fit 2 k&n bellmouth filters instead lol ;)
been putting it off cos i love riding it, but as the sp1 is on the road ive got no excuse... apart from working on my ped as well!
& yes, copious amounts of newspaper / wallpaper for masking & grease on the shiny nuts & bolts.... wipe it off when the paint's gone off (when it stops smelling)

It's only a matter of time before it ends up as a rat bike, with a few skulls and old bones cable tied on, and him wearing nowt but a gasmask with red LED's in the eyeholes.
Bike in camo paint and rattle can matt black all over.
Seat sawn off and hoiked up at 45 degrees, and a bit of webbing instead of the saddle.
Funk follows form-shun, or something....
I'm keeping mine nice and standard, me; it's a future classic.

It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Re: white firestorm
That looks very nice in white. The black frame tops it off nicely too.
