'92 750ss. Suggested upgrades

Post by Flatline »

I realise this is a firestorm forum, however we have some knowlegable people on here

Nobody on the Ducati sites have replied! ................Mind you, only 200 have looked at the thread :eek2

We all know what to do with the storm to rectify some basic build errors by Honda: CCT, rectifier, front fork oil, as a minimum, then consider front fork springs then rear shock

Any one know of any issues with the '92 carb'd 750ss?

Anything worth considering whilst I am rebuilding it?

Regards

Must admit to not knowing a lot about your particular model but on the majority of Ducatis, the timing belts need changing at regular intervals. If you have no history with the motor (and I`m assuming it has belts...... :? ) this might be a good time to change them for peace of mind.

Hailwood rep paint job, failing that, red white and green tricoleur.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

HI
see image .
small brass looking tube on the left carb ,
these tubes are prone to bunging up with black crap .
use the small pipe on carb cleaner to help clean it ,\(several times)
a good blast with compressed air should shift any crap.

I have rebuilt a 92 750ss motor if ya got any questions

cheers
