sometimes a good thump is required where the seat rises to pillion, or at least it does on mine.......theres a mod of tapping the rings it hooks onto on the subframe one way or the other to make it a bit easier, cant remember which way tho

Hi
I found mine difficult to get off at first.
TRY THIS
Get hold of the seat next to the tank
pulling the seat from the front ,
towards the rear.
and at the same time lift the rear with ya other hand as the seat moves to the rear ,
it only moves about an inch or less, then it comes of easy.
Seat seems to get a good grip on its fastenings when its in the locked postion.
unlock it first though ,
kind of a slide ,then up past the retaining hooks.

oooh I do like a good tug; :Woohoo1:

Yep that works for me too. Unlock and push back on the seat at the rear of the tank.

Best thing is get it off any way you can & then remove the bloody hooks! End off seat removal problems.

You will lose the seat strap but it's a small price to pay.

Before any one asks I have run mine like this for over four years & have not had any problems, the seat hooks under the tank at the front & is held in by the latch at the back.

Simples.

I pull back on the strap rather than the front of the seat, but I guess it is the same concept.

once you have it off then you can either push the hooks back a bit [with a hammer] or remove them, then it is much easier. I just tapped them back and it works no problem now

I found I had to bash the seat backwards while turning the key, but I found on here the cure. Just bend the loops that the hooks under the seat attach to, forward by about 3mm.

Sorted, well it worked on mine!
