Went into the garage today to give her the weekly start up. Keys in the ignition and I noticed the blue main beam light was on, on the dash.

Tried switching the lights off but the bloody main beam was still on. Initially was thinking that the wiring was playing funny buggers.

Then it hit me what it was............

The wee passing light switch had stuck in and was not coming out. I must of knocked it somehow when I was last in the garage. 5 mins later with some wd40 and grease on a cotton bud seems to have fixed it.

Bloody electrics.

I also have managed to sort out all of the electrics on my superdream project. Main beam working, full beam working and today managed to get the indicators working. The connector to the headlight is a wee bit temperamental and I think I need a new one. Managed to connect the instrument panel led's which I have fabricated and all seems to be working. Had to replace the indicator relay as the indicators were initially not flashing all good now though.

I think I deserve a beer now

Balanced the carbs today using the adjustment tool I got for xmas. So easy with the balance pipes fitted full time to the front pot, just unplug the stopper & fit the balancer with the straight conectors and use the tool with no need to remove anything. All good.

You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.

Today i ploughed the butt off her till she went home.

On the storm I finished fitting the Repsol Fairings, all on very well, oh and fitted another Gen Gasket this time making sure all previous one was off

looked for black suede to cover the seat, not found yet.

I never use the full / main beam switch the square one, so when it comes to MOT time if its pressed in it wont come out, have to spray a load of WD40 in it and hope for best

Iv used my horn on the Storm. was overtaking an artic on a motorway and was about halfway through the maneuver when the fecker turns on his indicators and immediately pulls out. Im straight onto the horn and managed to move to the outside beside the cats eyes. I opened the throttle and then finished overtaking just as he has decided to pull back in.

I use mine but not often, if i feel a driver isn't paying attention and hasn't noticed me i will use it to let them know I'm there,

if I'm not happy with a motorist I will usually gesture or of they are behind i slow them right down till they get the message.

Took 'Ole Red out for a bimble, the Harris pipes sound sweeeeeet a nice deep rumble on the over run & not offensively loud but I did notice a few heads turning! Not as many pops & bangs as the de-baffled standard cans I was running, I must of fitted them correctly! Seems to run fine with them & pulls cleanly throughout the revs.

Got home changed oil & filter washed the crap off ready for more fettling on the morrow.........watch this space.
