For the street, two long. For the track, two short.

Re: velocity stacks.....decisions
would you say it is a noticeable difference between the two?
Re: velocity stacks.....decisions
Depends if you notice it.masterdave wrote:would you say it is a noticeable difference between the two?
It's all down to the way you use the engine.
For only a few pounds for a spare airbox, the best way is to just try it.
You'll always be able to pass on a spare pair of stacks if you don't like it.
Where's your sense of adventure?
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Re: velocity stacks.....decisions
I fitted two long Honda standard stacks and noticed a difference to low down pulling power. As Tony says for a few quid it's worth trying it out. Good luck

Yeh. Mine runs a lot better with the shorties but thats with different cams in.mik_str wrote:For the street, two long. For the track, two short.
It felt flat up top with 2 long and didnt want to rev out.
Longs will work better on a standard engine if you ride it low to mid rpm.
You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.
Re: velocity stacks.....decisions
had a sudden change of heart and have decided to fit the short ones as i do use the bikes revs quite a lot, and if i dont like it they arent too hard to swap
