Like you say, there's good and bad plod.

Witnessed an accident 15 years ago where 2 cages collided on a 60 limit road just after a bend leaving nowhere for a ducati rider to go. Gave a statement and the dibble kept trying to get me to pin blame on the biker. end of a bell.

On the other hand I went out on a test ride with a Honda dealership in Carlisle and 3 plod came out with us. Struggled to keep up with them on a vfr800 on full throttle.

Dont worry mate, I hate a lot of coppers as much as the next person....oh and you don't want to meet me at work since I am a custody Inspector so your world will have already turned to sh1t when we say hi!

To answer another post....trust me most of us don't want to be armed, I spent 10yrs with a gun on my side in both a specialist bully boy raiding squad and then on the armed response cars, guns are more trouble than they are worth but are a giggle to scare the living daylights out of gansta's.

Oh and for the record I never gave out one speeding ticket or silly defect form to a biker in my 22yrs service, that would make me a hypocrite!

I did a police Safe Rider many years ago. I realised then that it matters little WHAT you ride, it's how you ride it. Superb skills IMHO
