Re: complaints gripes
I've seen a lot of posts about the slow riding problems on storms but never had the problem myself
It's fine pottering around town
They must all be different

If you're not happy with it and end up always slipping the clutch because at low speeds and slow tight in town bends 1st gear seems to rip you apart and 2nd gear trys to shake all the bolts out, try changing the sprockets it'll smooth it out, I went one tooth down on the front and two up on the rear, it's much better now and takes off like a rocket, you just have to get used to it coz it will lift even easier than it did beforetoonarmy wrote:was out yesterday only did about 27 mile bit chilly but lots of traffic does anyone else have the problem that storms hate being crawled in 1st and 2nd and although i know u can get a better throttle its a long way to crank it round (still love it though)

Balance the carbs, check the tps and make sure the low end fuelling is spot on by setting the air screw, and lifting the idle speed a bit. It will make it as good as it can be, and then you just need to be smooth with the on / off throttle and get used to a bit of clutch as required.
Then get out of town and open the taps

Re: complaints gripes
yeh you need to stick a 15t on the front and fir a rvf750 throttle tube - preferably with toy's quick action throttle mod
mine's about 1/4 turn to full throttle and is Very lively lol.

You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.

Re: complaints gripes
At lower 20mph or lower I find second with a bit of the ole clutch slipping works well but 30mph in second gear is 3K revs, just enough to stop the trembling of the bike.
And if the band you're in starts playing different tunes, I'll see you on the dark side of the moon.

Re: complaints gripes
when i first test rode my bike, it was the first v twin i'd ever riden, up to then it was il4's and v4's, bloody hell it juddered i thought this is a bucket of shite, until i figured out it was my fault and not the bikes, once i gave it a wrist full i thought this is the bike for me
now i just slip the clutch a little and gently use the rear brake for slow speed stability when needed.
