as kev said steve6088, the fellas very helpful and his prices are very fair, i'm looking at buying 12 disc bolts from him, he even sent me a single bolt for nothing to see if its correct, you can't ask more than that.

Fitted the carbon ign cover protector off e bay, and cleaned all the crap out of the matching clutch cover and got it ready for fitting



Also from the other weekend, I fitted the Loobman chain oiler

it is attached using 2 top and 2 bottom screws onto flanges on the outer edge of the CF cover, not glued, so removal is pretty easy.

Yes they are the universal ones already pre-cut to that shape and I just fitted them where my thighs line up on the tank..........in hind sight I wish I had chosen the black ones to make a contrast [and easier to keep clean] rather than clear.

they do work well, but I did get caught out once when I had a very heavy landing from a botched wheelie. To prevent my nuts getting pummeled onto the tank, I gripped the tank with my thighs............I was wering jeans [stupid I know] and although I saved my nuts i got some impressive rash on my inner thigh from the dimples on the stompgrip as i slid forward under the impact

will do, I looked into the totoro one but saw some pretty -ve reviews from some people. the loobman idea and implimentation look good, I just need to see where the oil ends up when I use it.
The design is simple, but neat. the reservoir you see in the picture has a small chamber in the base, when you press the plunger in the top of the res, it lets a controlled qty of oil flow down and fills the lower chamber. this then is gravity fed to each side of the back sprocket using a neat oil head, which uses the tails of a cable tie on each side to track the oil directly onto the sprocket, where it is then flung out onto the chain plates & o-rings.
The chamber will empty in about 15 mins so you press the plunger as you start your journey [assuming it is longer than 15mins], your chain will get a light coat of oil as you ride, and you dont need to remember to switch it off when you stop.

and it only cost £20, so it beats the scottoiler on cost by a serious amount.

but the proof has to come when I use it in anger

Spent a bit of time adapting a set of R1 mirrors fitting VTR shoes. I did try them as they came but wasn't happy with the angles.

Fitted them.



Went for a spin. Adjustments & angles all good. View fine i.e less elbows. But TBH I don't like the look. I think the Storm ones look better. So put the originals back on, washed it & even polished it.



For sale one set of R1 mirrors with VTR shoes & rubber boots. £20 posted.

Today, I had a new st of boots fitted to the old girl.

Not the ones I ordered, was let down by the shop, so they did me a deal on something else, Dunlop Sportsmarts.

Not what I wanted, but hopefully they'll be good.

Started a while back but so far i have removed forks, brakes and fairing.

brakes stripped and cleaned they now look like new!! Awiating new seal kit.Not bad for a grotty all year use bike.


stripped off rusty fairing bracket rubbed down and then sprayed.


Got these Brembo pads from Heine Gericke for £11 in the sale so be quick now!


Then got these head bearings to fit.


Finally got forks stripped for repaint and new springs,oil and the tapered damper mod.Will post pics when its done.
