That's so horribly Big Brother.
Do I have to let my insurance know if I've cleaned it lately?
Fitted my own choice of tyres, instead of the brand the come with?
Changed brake pads?
Or whether I've used Super unleaded?
I know it's what they want you to do, but honestly...
If it doesn't affect the roadworthiness of the vehicle if the insurance claim they're trying to avoid paying out on is an accident-based one, or enhanced the value of the vehicle if it's a theft-based claim, it's none of their business.
Soon we'll all have to ask nicely if we can put a sticker on.
My insurance company would be getting daily updates, the rate I play with mine.
