pichoor of your side steering damper

On the bike. As need to fab bracket for the one am getting
98 storm with goodies!

One thing i need to ask is why the plate?

thought the damper is bolting on to the faring bracket/frame

You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.

The hole for the bolt in the frame is 2mm smaller than the inner diameter of the rose joint, so 3 choices.
1) drill & tap the frame.....the lug is quite small and there won't be much metal left
2) sleeve down the rose joint, or make a stepped bolt.......I don't have a lathe.
3) make an adapter plate out of sme 3mm stainless I had under my bench.

I chose 3), and it has the advantage that you can put a bend in it to help keep the rose joint closer to the centre of its movement.

I have all the brackets but no damper as sprint couldn't service it as it was to old :(
I'm still looking for a damper :) 160mm long
