Exhaust Packing

Post by seb421 »

Exhaust packing,

How much difference to sound and performance does it make renewing exhaust packing?

thinking of opening these scorpions and repacking them see if it makes any difference to the sound, ones i have herd on line of 'new' cans on the storms sound a lot better

Seb, afaik Scorpion cans are meant to never need re-packing. So unless someone or yourself has been playing about with the orginal packing, it shouldn't need re-doing.

I have Scorpion cans on my bike, IMHO I would say they sound better now than hey did when they were new, they give a deeper sound than before, most likely as they have carboned up a bit form new.

Chris.
