Vtr won't turn over????

Post by wingysataday »

I got into a bad accident and now the bike won't start! My question is, is there some sort of sensors that won't let you start it if the fluid is low or something. The bike is in neutral when I try and the fuses are all good, I don't know where to look next????

The bike usually starts with the kickstand down as long as it is in neutral.

do you have a bank sensor, some usa bikes have these. Cuts the engine out if the bike is on it's side? (it may have moved in the crash) or start at the starter relay with a tester and work from there.

Have a look beween the frame and the plastic under where you left thigh would be if you were sitting on the bike.
Also if the switch on the clutch lever is broke you can't start the bike with the sidestand down.
Good luck

I tried with the kickstand up and it still doesn't work. I'm going to replace the entire front end, new switches, perches fork the whole thing so maybe that will cure it! Also is the starter relay by the battery?

Thats a bit drastic. Is it badly damaged? oh well Isuppose if that doesn't work you could always replace everything from the frontend back.

The relay is to the left of the Battery as you sit on the bike is't still between the frame and the plastic under where your left thigh would be if you sit on the front seat
