Not having the Storm tool kit I to needed to find a suitable plug spanner, had a rake around in various toolboxes & found one from another bike tool kit the correct size head but too short.

Found another smaller one which fitted inside the first, couple of welds later, one long reach spark-plug spanner.

Nice bit of Blue Peter engineering & not a bit of sticky-back plastic in sight!

I would like to know the answer to this one as well.

Got an extremely grubby K&N in mine and noticed the two triangular foam filters in corner of airbox. When checking out the new K&N'ss noticed they come with blanking filters for these. Do they really make that much difference?
Anyway decided to buy a new kit instead of cleaning the old one.
Still waiting for it to arrive!

Favour required mate. See your old air filter are you just going to chuck it?????? If you are can you get a hacksaw out and cut around the moulded caps that go over the small triangle things.

I bought a K&N and it didnt come with the blanking caps so I was looking for and old filter to do this with.

If you could do that I would cover your postage etc.

Those little triangular filter filter the air going into each carb behind the piston as the piston rises and falls.
You can just cut pieces of open-cell foam and lightly oil, and fit them in place of the standard ones.
Most off-road shops keep sheets of filter foam for pennies.
But I don't think they're expensive from Honda.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

So they are just bit's of foam then like the original Honda ones Except K&N's version. When reading the K&N instructions it led me to believe they are blanking caps, meaning they are no longer needed with the K&N. Am I missing something here! or are those instructions just badly written? What effect would it have if they were capped off so no air was sucked into them?

Still waiting on my K&N kit to turn up. It will be interesting to see what they are made of.
