My mate and I went to a salvage yard today

he also sells bikes complete ready to go ,he had 5 storms starting from £1695 for a shitter to £1995 for id say a ok one bit of a rip off but he must have lots of bits for them I didnt ask I ,was drewling over a ducati 748 and a nice busa

Lots of cheapo projects in there for sale starting from £500 most of them run and ride just need cleaning up and TESTING

been there in past when looking for a bike. he is a rip off. try asking how much for yours and you'll get an offer about £500 then he'll have it up for about £3000

dealers don't offer much more...a mate asked about part exchanging his mint 51reg storm for a new z1000 at j&s motorcycles and was told they can buy them in at £600 so thats all they'd allow him...a few choice words later and we're banned from the shop...

This guy is a rip off for anything and its usually sh1t condition, most his bikes are built up from wrecks so wouldn't trust them or the frames they sit in, he's a rock i avoid him at all costs

be aware as well the police are very active in that area down the bottom of the hill with radar guns

most dealers have a policy of not touching trade ins over 10 years old.
with some its 7yrs+
so unless its a pristine classic in concours original trim forget it. youre better off on ebay, gumtree or word of mouth.
the only time its in your interest to trade in is if the bike still has warranty on it.
