Type approval

Post by Kev L »

Whilst we are all in mutinous mood, has anyone read the article by Rupert Paul in this months BIKE mag? Whilst we are worrying about where our next litre of fuel is coming from and how to obtain a mortgage to purchase it, lumbering in from the blindside is a whole raft of legislation from our European puppeteers which will effectively end any home servicing, alterations and fitting of anything other than standard parts. On a very minor note this will effect the tyre posts on here, "What tyres would the panel fit to obtain ultimate performance", "The ones fitted as standard as our masters at the ministry have decreed. They know better than us and are keeping us safe. All hail the ministry".
What the hell is the world coming too? Any freedom of choice (or indeed freedom) is being eroded at a rapidly increasing pace. I really don't want to live till I am Ninety having done nothing with an eliment of risk and been wrapped in cotton wool just to keep me safe to work to pay tax to support others who can't be arsed. I want to live in a world where I have an individual choice as to the risks I take and I accept the outcome of those decisions.
I joined MAG recently. I should have joined when I started riding in 1975 but I didn't, as the threats to us the motorcyclist, seemed minor then. But now the hobby I enjoy most is under threat from a country which is slowly disappearing under a sea of bureaucratic nonsense. If you can spare a few bob support MAG or the BMF it may be our last chance.

I've been following this topic for a while in various mags its a wombles joke mate,

we should ditch Europe and become and island nation again, manufacture sh1t and sell it to the rest of the world instead of buying every other wombles crap and making sod all and and adopt an immigration policy of Australia

wombles off asylum seekers too. were to small and over crowed as it is, they come here seeking asylum send them to rural bloody Wales or Scotland, why Manchester and London where its already packed

national service wouldn't go a miss either, could put them to work on the roads when there not busy fighting a bull sh1t war

 I have been saying this for ages, you would soon see a change in attitude on the streets.
Unfortunately this Country does not share the same views on Immigration as our Convict Colony on the other side of the World.

dont you think wales has enough problems what with its 5 pence for sodding carrier bag and having to register your septic tank so the b8stard can levy yet another tax and basicly every other piece of crap europe comes out with that that the labour run south Wales assembly sucks up spunks money on and inflicts on its inhabitants,

did you lot realise that now if you have a van that has a 3.5t gross weight and a trailer you now need an operators licence talk about trying to put the last of the small business men under, this has resulted in my dad having to buy a car to tow the trailer with so as not to fall foul of the law.
