Universal exhausts, suitable for cafe racer?? Advice needed

Post by Flatline »

Some of you know that I am building a cafe racer from my 92 750ss

http://www.haymouth.co.uk/phpBB3/viewto ... ilit=750ss

I have been thinking about exhaust and like the look of several of the universal exhausts that are for sale

The following MAY NOT be the ones I buy

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/190631549019? ... 1746wt_698

Forget about what they look like, or any fitting or quality issues, what problems would I encounter?

At the moment I need a cheap set of exhausts to tide me over

Would I lose power or anything?

Regards

I done a xs250 hard tail chopper over the winter sportser tanck ect..now sold it ,I got 2 shorty style chromed from ebay for £100 sounded realy nice ,not sure if the storm would be to big for them ,they also had removable baffles  for mot time 8)

I paid a little more and got bevaled edges they are on ebay some where

The cafe racer style looks great with white exhaust wrap ,little tip  if you use any soak it in water and wrap from the cans back dont start from the headers to the cans

Thanks Marra

May take you up on that although they are just a stop gap at the moment

It s more about whether they will cause problems with the performance of the Ducati or not
