Not so sure about keys flying out as it's never happened in 30 years of biking and that's a lot of bumps (especially on the west coast of Ireland trip) and the key won't come out of a storm anyway while the ignition is on. Never had a problem with barrels either. Not keen on the pocket idea, a lot of stuff goes missing out of my pockets. Losing keys is kind of a fear for me! I could remove some of the lesser important keys though.

yeah me too. i once had the kids in the car ready to go out and realised i needed something from the garage. i had to stand on a ladder to get what i wanted (my garage is quite high one end) the keys, car plus house, were in my pocket. moving about i heard them drop, did,nt even look down. they cant bounce and they cant roll. got off the ladder looked on the floor no keys? where the hell were they? after about 45 minutes looking and lots of swearing i discovered that as they fell one of the rings had had gone right over the end of one of the brake levers of one of the kids bikes hanging on the wall about 4 foot from the floor!!Image wrote:. Ok fair enuff, but one more point to ponder......your out on your bike stop at some point & get off leaving keys in bike, accidentally or on purpose makes no odds, when you return....no keys....gone....nish....blame the key fairy or some oik makes no difference you've still lost ALL your keys. The more seperate bunches of keys I've got, the more chance of losing one of them. I know coz I've done it. But one large bunch of keys I guard like my wallet. Also, if the worse happens it's easier to find a big bunch of keys than a solitary key which is like a needle in a haystack. Use my bike everyday so a single key would certainly go missing eventually. I've got a spare bunch of keys in the house with spare house key and car key but really do need to get a spare bike key. I'm not sure how to proceed with that though, visit a Honda dealer or is it possible to have one cut?

I use my bike every day, only thing on the fob its the bike key, the disc lock key and the data tool alarm button fob,
no way would I personal carry more than that on the same fob, I keep the garage and garage defender keys on a separate fob to the bike keys too just in-case they go missing the bike cant go missing or the other bike in the garage for that matter
I also keep spare bike keys in a safe that's in a locked room, once you have had a bike stolen you take measures to stop it happening again
plus I wouldn't want a lot of keys flapping about on the yokes too, my dad has a disc lock key on his fob and it makes such a high pitch din noise when it rattles on the yoke, and i've seen bikes that have had loads of keys on the fob and it totally wombles the top yoke, specially if its say black or anodised

That's the same route I took yesterday, albeit in reverse. Nice roads.
On the subject of keys, I left mine in the seat lock all last winter after taking the battery off :-?

After losing my key in Scotland and getting recovery back I'll stick with the big bunch of keys until I at least get a spare key.

A non Hiss key any decent lock smiths will be able to cut one although they may have to order a blank.
If you have a HISS key then you would have to ask said locksmith if they can do it, as it will be chipped & will need programming.
If they cant do it, it's a Honda stealer, em I mean dealer to get it sorted. They should be able to sort it but will probably tell you you need a new lock set because of the HISS.
Oh & by 'Decent Locksmith' I mean a proper security locksmith not a cobblers, cut you a key whilst I re-heel your shoes type shop.
Best get It sorted ASAP if you have no spare. Lose that huge bunch & you'll be bike less!
