Pilot Sports

Post by Z28DUNC »

Anyone used the Michelin Pilot Sports?

Thinking of getting some next month. Don't care how long they last just want grip. However I do want to be able to go out when it's colder and not fall off in the first corner.

Not bothered with wet riding as I'm a dry day only guy!

I did look at the pilot roads but there more tourer and I want sport.

Plenty of references on the forum to 'Michelin Pilot Sports' if you search

It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

trust me mate, you wont be able to out ride a modern day pair of touring tires like the Pilot Road 3's or the equlivent Bridgestone BT023's

Ron on the BT023's, speaks for its self...

I've got pilots road ct2's execellent, the bt023 are used by ron haslams race school and they are execellent all round. It's a case of what you prefer, 99.9 per cent of rider don't use your tyres to there full protencal.

I've got Road 3's on mine now had them on week or two not sure?

any way last night was -2 out side and i didn't notice it was that cold till i got home and looked, tires are a big improvement over the original pilots, really happy how quick they heat up too, it was -2 and there was a fair bit of heat in the tires after a 20 mile ride, the old ones used to be stone cold

also very good in the wet, and when it was warm out side i gave it the beans and it they feel great,

my only gripe is the wombles noise they make

I cant even describe the noise the front makes, if you can have a go on some ones bike with them on before you get them,

Noise? What are you doing to them? Does it involve lube?

A big thumbs up here fro Pirelli Angel STs

Seems to me ST tyres have come on so much recently their performance levels are beyond 99.99% of us anyway, you get excellent wet & dry grip and good wear rates, watch Rocket Rons video on the 023's which they use at the race school instead of supersport tyres.

I've always used Pilot Sports and never had a moments worry. Recently did 130 miles B roads in the rain with the Blue Knights (not hanging about) they are as sure footed as a mountain goat. Buy with confidence as they say.
I was born with nothing and I still have most of it left.
