Bugger to start near petrol reserve.

Post by StormingHonda »

Just come out of work and the bike was a bit of a turd to start up, spitting through the air box like crazy, on saturday I would mind if someone in the know would check to see if my carbs have been jetted, if not im gonna put a Honda air filter on and take out that K&N, my Harley has been jetted up and spit through the carb at cold, I really dont like those K&N filers.

Anyway does anyone else have the problem when the fuel gets low, my Harleys a bit like this, but compairing the Harley to the Firestorms probably not a good idea, the only thing they share in common is their both V twin and not even the same kind of V twin

nothing to do with reserve as the storm doesnt have a reserve tube in the tap, just a warning light, so there is no reserve as such.

sounds like a chronic air leak,,, running very weak.

try it with fresh fuel before you do awt else
You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.

Only spits when first started up, my Harley does this with a K&N air filter, once its warm it starts fine, just seemed a bit harder to start today.
