Thinking of changing jobs and will need something for a commute - KTM 990 SMT looks like a hoot and comfy.
Anyone got any info, experience about them#? Look like good second hand prices as well

Re: KTM SMT
My mate runs one, and he rates it. To be honest, If iwasnt such a stubborn old git, I would have sold my storm and bought one, but I refuse to take the easy route!!
It is fast, practical, but also has the crazy edge of a big hyper moto lurking just under the surface. Looks easy to do big miles on, and still have fun in the twisty bits.
suspension and brakes are brilliant, and the engine bests the storm at all revs, but still is a big torquey V twin
On a down side the fuelling is snatchy and he has already got a clunk from his back shock after 4yrs, and the finish is not as strong as the old firestorm. And the front lamp and screen are not the best looking things.
Oh and it could do with a gel seat.

Re: KTM SMT
Mate rates his and like AMCQ46 I'd change the storm for one.
Luggage is expensive but good, mileage is better than a storm and it's faster.
+1 on the gel seat it's narrow....
