Barn Find!

Post by benny hedges »

WOW!!! look at these i found today, buried under a load of crap.

2 triumph thunderbirds, one with 527 miles on the clock, the other with just 3 miles lol
a 250 bsa starfire, 2 stroke single with 127 miles on the clock,
another thunderbird incomplete, a hardtailed frame,a spare tbird engine, a brand new seat still in the triumph packaging, a new set of wheels and loads of other spares in a rotting tea chest!

these belong to an old guy called alf who left them there 40 years ago and hasnt touched them since....

i'm waiting on a call to see if i can take them off his hands, not to sell, but to put back on the road :)

a very rare find indeed!

tbh matey if i can take these off him i'd just clean them up. theyre way too good to chop.
a minter like these with so few miles is a pot of gold m8.
would be sacrilage to do anything apart from restore them - they even have the original paint!

the starfire and the blue triumph are absolutely perfect condition apart from surface rust on the chrome.
even got the original avon tyres on lol!

there is a chopped frame there as well though, and a spare engine and wheels...

Nice, in the process of putting together a 1947 T100 that was found in a chicken shed just before christmas, also have an original Honda Monkey bike from the same shed. He's still got a YB100 in there if anyone is interested...

They are still out there waiting to be found

"found" lucky devil!. what were you doing?
whats going to happen to the starfire? i had a bsa b44 once that put me off british bikes forever but i still like the thought of owning one that actually works. maybe i would be more patient 20 years on.
