New Bike!

Post by Rob »

Bought the 'Storm pretty much exactly 10 years ago new. Always been reliable and still love it but had a hankering for something new.

No idea what I wanted, just surfed the 'net and fell in love......

....with a Moto Guzzi Griso 1200 8V SE.

Quick test ride on a demo, loved it and bought one. Can't explain, it looks great, sounds strange and rides very differently to the 'Storm but I was hooked.

Not all bad news though, I'm keeping the 'Storm. :D Realistically it's not worth a lot, except to me, and now I have a new job and am travelling much further a steady ride seems to be giving me 45mpg which means a tank of fuel lasts me 2 days (130 miles)!

So the Griso for dry summer fun and the 'Storm for commuting and wetter summer days. That's the plan anyway.

That's the one, with the Matt Green paint :D

Unfortunately I won't get it for a couple of weeks. Probably be the longest 2 weeks of my life

The new SE is out soon with a 'Black Devil' paint scheme and I don't like it as much so had to grab the old SE while I still could.

WOW, it was the old style Guzzis that got me into V-twins in the first place. Mate still has a 1979 Spada with over 180,000 on the clock, love em.
