baldrocks is all I can think off.
Any one good with stainless steel sheet?
Doing the full service now and cleaning the complete rear end and trying to keep calm.
baldrocks again
I prefer a stonger NSAIDs (Non Steroidal Anti inflammatory Drugs) either a 50mg/75mg Diclofenac more commonly known as Voltarol. This relaxes things which in course eases the pain. And for the "I'm in Pain give something to instantly take the pain away"ibuprofen is our friend!
Having looked at the pic's I can see that you already have a higher screen, which is normally the first fix for helmet buffeting. (No, Marty stop sniggering your thinking helmet buffing !0 )StormingHonda wrote:Gotta admit, I got neck ache as well from the abuse my crash helmet gave me on the way there and back.
You should have been behind me going through the Dartford Tunnel Marty........Sounded SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!!!!bigspanishmarty wrote: it wasn't until our little rideout when i was behind mac and his harris cans going thru a small village that i realised how loud these exhausts really are
I usually use the A13 which has a better road surface than the A12, and plus I bought that helmet with the Harley in mind, its also too big, I suspect the linings worn a bit on it and lost its strength.MacV2 wrote:Having looked at the pic's I can see that you already have a higher screen, which is normally the first fix for helmet buffeting. When you turned up at Brook street I seem to remember that you had your lid with the chin piece flipped up. ??
If you ride with it like that all the time that's going to cause all sorts of drag problems & will make the helmet & therefore your head move about, hence the neck ache.
I recently bought a KBC helmet after years of Arai's. The KBC is so much quieter than the Arai simply because the Arai's visor pods stick out the side & create wind noise at speed. However I found that at speed the KBC wobbles about in the wind blast making vision blurry !
Got one of those neoprene wind cheater things & it has cured me wobbles & made it even quieter.
Mac
between me and you the noise of our bikes make is mental.......MacV2 wrote:You should have been behind me going through the Dartford Tunnel Marty........Sounded SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!!!!bigspanishmarty wrote: it wasn't until our little rideout when i was behind mac and his harris cans going thru a small village that i realised how loud these exhausts really are

i thought of one of those wind cheater things last night, where did you get yours from mac, i also have a kbc, but i find mine suffers from a lot of wind/road noise, i reckon it will be earplugs/wind cheater thingy/and flip up screen in the future. i must admit my lid's only a £100 cheapy, so maybe i should consider a new lid first....
Don't you know it.It's called getting Old lads!![]()
Having a good lid that is the right size and you are comfortable with is important!!!!!so maybe i should consider a new lid first....
