Nice one mate. Haven't had any good races on mine yet but I'm sure I'll come up on a willing victim soon.

Went out last Sunday with the Ducati lads (I own one) about 7 bikes, 1098, 996 998 etc

My storm is standard, including forks

Had to go past as they were slowing me down in the twistys

When we parked up no one looked at my bike though

Gonna get the forks sorted for next time. :biggrin

I pulled up at the lights, straight ahead was the direction, to my right was an R1, one of the new ones with the fugly front lights hanging out on stalks. A nod was exchanged and as soon as the lights went orange I let the bike go. First gear, second gear, 60mph I was in front and still climbing and then the R1 passed and I had to slow down as I was turning off.

Now I am under no illusions that I would have beaten this R1, they are known to have the low down grunt of a V2 along with the top end voom of the IL4. But I swear, I was in front until I had to change lanes.

There's something about 600's. Always ridden by power rangers who havn't been riding long. Maybe there's a big insurance group leap beyond 600cc. They go fast in a straight line then slow right down the moment they have to do anything.

Don't waste your time lads coaxing poofy spotty faced oiks in pink shirts driving their wee Saxos or Pugs. I travel to Aberdeen 4 days a week and save my racing urge for some of the rig lads in their BMW's and Audis. Its a straight=ish 40 mile road with some long sweeping bends.....knee down and give it as much as the size of your balls will allow. Lotsa of starting lines though with 50-70 limits, speed cameras and on a 2 lane dual carriageway my favourite, lorries overtaking. Some of these boys are left drooling when they experience the meaning of acceleration.

The best chav whooping the storm ever carried out is what I done twice to the Honda Civic Type R chavs in Portsmouth. Now bear with me and the dodgy map links but it all adds to the experience.

My story starts here (clicky) at the lights. Pinky filtered his way up and sat beside this Type R Civic with chavy chav and his mate spidy spide in the passenger seat. Chavy chav driving looked at me, glared and started revving the engine. Meanwhile I just sat there with a small smile on my face. Lights went and off I went leaving the chavvy chav and his spidy spide mate at the lights as they wheelspan away to themselves.

Just here (clicky 2), a few hundred meters up the road I am sitting at the speed limit as chavy chav screams past and cuts up a car in front of me in his bid to get back in front of me. It was around that point I thought he was a bit of an idiot and he took me leaving him behind personally.

I gently make my way through the roads towards my destination when I come to the next set of lights just here (last clicky) when I filter up to the red light and I just happened to look to my left and who is sitting there glaring out the window at me? Why look, its chavy chav in his Civic. I smile, I even give a cheeky wave and just as the lights change I leave the poor bugger behind once again.

I dont understand why they think they are in with a chance against us. Yet time and time again they do try and beat us off the line. Do these people not realise that even while we are sitting on the motorway doing 70 we are not even half way through our rev range in top gear and we dont even need to drop a gear to leave them behind? Ok I will admit it is good fun to drop a gear or 2 just for the noise it makes but we dont need to.
And if the band you're in starts playing different tunes, I'll see you on the dark side of the moon.

Your clicky things are not working fella. Wanted to check your race track out as Mrs Boz comes from Pompey (Leigh Park then Paulsgrove). Whats your location?

They work for me Boz. I'm based near Paulsgrove not far from the QA. I work in Albert Road and the clickies were between here and there. The first and second clicky are behind Fratton Asda. The 3rd is beside the One Eyed Dog just before Albert Road. The mrs should know where they are.
