new race cans e.g. leo vinci or....?

Ok, got a 1999 vtr firestorm and were the best of friends. But my lil bro just got a cbr with a blue flame exhaust and his bad boy sound is annoying me. Got another mate offering Leo vinci open race cans (titanium) for £130. I imagine they'll more than do the job. I assume the price is right but is it true the bike wont need rejetting? Im seeing this guy tomorrow so ANY advice on getting new cans would be v welcome.

£130 is a good price if they are in A1 condition and don't need repacking. Jetting should be ok but will need the pilot air jet adjusting to get a good tickover and get rid of most of the popping on the over-run and when cruising.

I got em! Very nice chap called Paul helped me put em on there and then. You meet some v cool people in biking.

And the sound superb. Like a teenage dream of what a bike should be.

Cheers for the feeback Del. I have not adjusted anything yet as they seem to run fine. How do I adjust the "pilot air jet" anyway?

Burned it down the A24 past Box Hill and down to Horsham and back today. not sure how load they are at speed cos I seem to leave the sound behind. Will have to get my bro to cruise just behind me to see how load they actually are.

Great in London though. People really look and cars get out the way. Cooooool.

just put the old cans on to get it through the MOT and it sounds RUBBISH.
Gawd, no wonder I was getting a bit disenchanted.

Im not antisocial but I do like to blip the throttle sometimes just to let the four wheeled sofa's know Im there.

The standard cans just make is sound like a moulinex masterchef.
How can they do that to a v twin thou!!!!!?

But, Leo VInci's are back on now and swwwwweeet.
Recommend it as an easy mod to EVERYONE.
