I don't get the advisory AFAIR as long as the cans aren't marked 'not for road use' it's at the tester's discretion so why pass the bike and give out an advisory basically saying 'actually they are a bit loud'? :?

I think there's new regs on the way that say something like if the cans do not make more noise than the OE parts it can pass. Again, I think that has to be at the tester's discretion.

nice one - mine sailed through yesterday. Std cans mind, was more worried about bearings etc. All ok :D

Mine passed with just an annoying round reflector stuck on my Carbon Fibre undertray.

Was going to change to std cans, but he said the deaf bloke was on shift, so I went and chanced it, no probs.

Mind you, he didn't rev it over 2K....
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

cans and noise is up to the tester to decide if they are significantly louder than the standard cans, without having a noise tester and chart in front of them or an identical bike with standard cans to compare it to then there is no real way to tell, so it all depends if your tester likes loud cans or not really,

mine passed with the art cans on. The tester grabbed a hand full of throttle and she growled and backfired. Tester said braw and she passed no probs
