Post by seb421 »

For little more than I was thinking the ohlins on eBay might go for I could get this set up brand new

Apparently the front springs are not well finished; but as they can't be seen, so what?
I'd recommend Hyperpro as an alternative, though, as they come complete with decent oil, and work really well.

I have the same Hagon remote rear shock on mine; seems fine, but only damping adjustment, not rebound as well.

I had to send it back under warranty as the top shock mount started to rust, but they painted it with Hammerite and it's been fine ever since....

As an alternative to a Nitron it's worth consideration.

But I hid mine in a neoprene jacket to keep the rear downpipe's heat away from the shock body.
The SP1 R+G one fits fine.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

I once bought a Hagon shock for my VFR, it went back for a refund as it felt worse than the OE that had done 47k. Apparently I'm not the only one.

I bought a WP shock which was more expensive but very good. Nitron do have a good reputation too, also had Proflex recommended to me by bike mechanic who's an ex-racer

From the research I did I would choose Nitron over Hagon every day
