My mate washed his bike and it won't start

Post by Image »

My mate washed his bike (Aprilia Millie 600) this morning and now it won't start. Dried and cleaned spark plugs and used a hair-drier on the coil but still not trying at all. It's getting a spark and it's getting fuel so what could the problem be?

try the sidestand switch as well. and starter solenoid???
does it turn over?
could be he's got water in the breather from the tank so no fuel can get out (no air can get in)
You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.

ECU connector.
Undo the connector and dry it with dielectric contact cleaner.

And don't use a jet washer.

Just a guess.....
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

My son did the very same thing with my Fire Blade and a power washer, turns out id left the keys in the ignition and the Alarm fob had gotten water in it! :redface
