Dunno if I already put it on here, but Saturday done the regulator conversion, my mate come round and we both done it for something to do, before the missus ropped me and my mate into doing stuff around the house

Stripped the swinging arm and linkages. Cleaned everything inc chain and fitted grease nipples.
Refitted and lubed up.
Been meaning to do it for years.

What i have done over winter so far.
Stripped and cleaned calipers they were black before this.
Fitted taper head bearings.
Took forks off and did the damper mod then serviced and painted them. They were very scabby.
Stripped and painted rusty fairing bracket now looks sweet.
Put brakes back together with new Brembo sintered pads £11 bargain. Also fitted goodridge hoses.
I cant believe how well the forks and brake have turned out.
Just need to test ride it now.

Looks sweet. What did you do to reveal the Nissin logo, or did you over paint it with silver?
Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
IIRC the rear of the caliper is painted and its only the front of the caliper that has the Nissin logo unpainted?

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
just use a fine file or some wet & dry on a flat surface and rub the caliper to remove the paint from the raised letteringtankslappa wrote:Looks sweet. What did you do to reveal the Nissin logo, or did you over paint it with silver?

Once we get a bit of " Harley " riding weather I want to do the same with my Firestorm, it really is in need of a clean up.

Fitted poofy red and black cover/grips over my levers. Saw them on e bay and I'm a right sucker for usless sh1t. But, they look ok and the levers are a bit thicker now. Damn I'm such a faggot.
