I build industrail electric trucks and i think the electronics has come so far in the last ten years but the battery tech has not come as far. They are getting better every year though just look at the electric bike class in the tt!

I'd love an electric bike for commuting to work on. Should have less breakdowns and cost less on fuel. As soon as one has a 150-200 mile range I would have one

I'm building this monowheel at the moment, don't think I'd want to go to work on it every day though !It's sort of a bike and it's battery powered 8O

24volt, still got to mount the batteries and it's complicated due to centre or gravity ect, fully programmable Curtis electronics so electronic braking ect, geared for 18mph, though I may tweek it down , will have a solid rubber tyre round the outside of the hoop, all built by me except the outer hoop and rollers  Was going to build one with a vespa 50 motor in but I wouldn't be able to use it anywhere so decided to go electric, if plod stop me I will say it's a mobility scooter and put on a fake limp !

If I remember rightly the controller is a 1223, might be wrong though. The programmer that you can see plugged in allows me to alter all sort of acceleration ramps and curves ect as well as the braking speeds and delays ect. Should be ok once set up but will be some hairy times sorting it, if you accelerate or brake to hard on these you "gerbil", ie do a loop the loop 8O
