That is a pretty common sight, also standing in the road watching the bikes coming towards you flat out at Creg-na-Ba

Many years ago we were leaning over the wall in the garden of what was then the Ballacraine Hotel, (seen at 3:13 on the clip) when a sidecar outfit clipped the straw bales. We leapt off the wall, pints in hand laughing nervously and swearing, when we noticed one of our mates was still on the top of the bales with a pint part way to his lips, he had frozen, he didnt move for about 20 seconds.

That was close!

I too have sat on the grass verge by the Greg-ne-ba just before the right hand bend..good spot and so close to the action.
