Replacement Teal/Turquoise Fairings Recommendation

Post by hu112bu »

Hey There,
I bought a wrecked Firestorm and decided to give the Chinese fairings a try. I contacted them through "Alibaba.com" as the prices were a bit cheaper than through ebay, and as well they have live chat with Ms. Linda LV. I sent her some photos of a "Jerez Blue Metallic" bike and she assured me that it would be replicated exactly. I was contacted a few weeks later as to the color code, which I forwarded to them as B-154M. Two weeks after that my set arrived. I also purchased a NOS tank from David Silver Spares, which I took out in the sunlight to compare the finishes of the fairings to the tank. The match is superb and the paint quality is fantastic! I can't say enough about how impressed I am. The only small complaints are the graphics, and the chin fairing colour. They are acceptable, but for a perfect match I recommend aquiring some NOS ones through Honda. The good news is that they are not "Cleared over" so you can simply apply some heat and remove them. The chin fairing is painted bright silver, and the internal ducts are colour matched rather than black. It's no big deal, but thought I should mention this. I've got some repairs to do to the bike prior to installing the fairings, but will post some pics when it's finished. I was searching ebay for parts and see they are now advertising this set, and wanted to pass this along to assure anyone considering a purchase that these are highly recommended!!

Glad you had a result with the replacement panels. Can you stick some pics on here when you get them fitted?

@ Kev L- Yes, it might be a few weeks tho m8 as I plan on replacing the CCT's and some other bits while it's apart. Currently you could say I've got "Champagne taste and a beer wallet" as my funds are about depleted tidying up the house and yard this spring! I promise it will be be completed ASAP though. I am planning on a new "double bubble" type screen as the price is on par with a used oem unit. I sincerely can't wait to get this completed as those teal panels do look sweet!
