yeh m8 saw that on another forum.
he was very lucky.
tbh if you have a gopro it makes a lot more sense to set it up to take stills every few seconds rather than real time vid.
i lost count of the number of vids ive scrapped cos they showed mates plates or lamp posts / white lines whizzing by.... they can do you by counting them and working out your speed, though im sure in court you could explain that the video is speeded up (like all mine are ;) ) to cut file size when uploading ;)

he was a very lucky lad.
You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.

Never will have a camera on my bike, would not ride with someone with one on theirs.

I don't know why people dont realise you might as well walk into the police station hand it over and lock yourself in the cell.

Know this guy from another forum. Was a lovely looking bike. Think he has another one if I can recall right.

I recall wrong, same one rebuilt. Oddly enough he's a decent chap. Or he seems it.

Your quite right, there are numerous cases of this.

I think this guy has had a real run of bad luck. I feel he had a bit of police harassment there as well. I bet the CPS so flaws in the way the fuzz gathered their evidence and worked out they could not do him for it. The fuzz put the fear into him though.

All my computers/hard drives are encrypted there is no way they will get past my passwords or encryption.  People should not underestimate computer security.
A mate of mine had his computer taken for computer forensics and his hard drive was encrypted with the simple Apple File Vault. The plod had it for so long trying to get Apple to give them details how to get past the encryption. Would Apple give it to them. Did they wombles   Luckily after about 6 months he got his computer back. case closed, lack of evidence

I do feel a bit sorry for this man and his nighevity. I bet he don't wheelie down the road anymore

Seb maybe that link should be posted here as well http://www.vtr1000.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=23760 as a little warning for those learning.

Have Fun

Wow, that is a scary situation. He's pretty lucky to get out of that one. Thanks for the link.

Cracking read that, i used to a lot of Enduro and motocross so two years ago i put my Contour HD helmet cam onto my VFR800 for the summer, i've still got a dozen vids of me and my mates doing silly speeds, even one of me doing 160mph on the white line up the a38 in derby in between two cars.

But luckily for me i never uploaded any vids to youtube, the police love that site, and yes i've learned my lesson and vowed never to stick a camera on my bike again, especially on the this firestorm becuase i know they wheelie easily

Can't see the point of videoing anything like that.....why? Is it vanity gone wrong. I just get out and enjoy my bike. Never pull wheelies on public roads, don't want to tarnish the image of decent bikers. Each to their own though. Jammy feker though. Someone close to me was arrested and prosecuted 2 years ago for crackin' a teenage scroat in the kisser for jumping on the roof of his brand new Zafira, his pride and joy. Had a bit of history from years back, but a decent family man. Father and grandfather pushed to the limit by a cheeky little sh1t with a big mouth and no respect. Result, bound over for one year and £100 compensation to the "victim"
£400 damage to the car, no prosecution for that as their was no realistic chance of monetary compensation.
This fella on the Gixer should keep the exploits to the track. Yes the fuzz were over the top but as he said, he's got a family and maybe he should grow up. I've got no sympathy.
Oh yeah, the case example given was me arrested. I have no complaints. I acted way out of proportion and should have left it to the cops. I deserved all I got and felt ashamed. Maybe part of the reason these little buggers are acting like this is they see someone who is allegedly decent also acting like a fool.
No offence meant to anyone who chooses to exercise their rights by breaking the law, that's your look out!!!
