Hello

Post by popkat »

Just got myself an 03 Firestorm. Had one 12 years ago and had alot of fun on it in, only had it around 9 months but crammed lots in, used it for despatch work a bit, went to le-mans, toured south of the uk, and won a few club races on it :D after all that it hadn't missed a beat so i thought i'd better get rid before something went wrong

Since then i've had loads of bikes, gixxer1000's aprilia's etc etc, last one was a BMWr1200s (the underseat piped sport boxer), awesome bike, very un BM like, but due to racing my XJ this year i had to sell to release some funds, hence Another Firestorm..

I'd like to make it similar to my last one, I had Arrow carbon cans, k&n filter and a dynojet kit which all made it run spot on. Other mods were dark power bronze screen (i'd get a lighter one now, as hard to see when on one wheel  ) and a hugger. I had an Ohlins shock and i fitted linear 0.875 fork springs with 140mm airgap.

My new bike has better forks than my earlier F-1 so i'll leave them for now, and can't afford an Ohlins this time.

Looking forward to some summer fun on it :D

If anyone knows of some good cans for sale post up please, no high levels, don't like the look of them.....Is there a "best can" and "best screen" threads anywhere on here ?
