First gear with little throttle. Crank up idli to about 4k then you don't need any throttle after that.
I can't get on with left foot on peg at back

I used to find the firestorm to be a really good wheelie bike, nice low c of g, short shift to 2nd take it to about 45mph use the clutch, whack the throttle open and big tug on bars and up she comes, when nicely up snick to 3rd and control on the throttle :)

Tip, when it's coming down grab the next gear and open the throttle a bit, it makes for a much smoother landing.

That's why you buy a beater bike and wrap some steel cage around it.

dont like 1st gear wheelies meself... accelerates waaay too fast to feel controlable imo 8O
1st into 2nd though with a handfull of throttle and its rides up nice :)

thumperslaw is talking about launching a bike with a 60t sprocket in 1st. That's coming up pretty damn quick so I guess you have to be all over the back brake like a rash.

This was last year on a Sunday morning pissing about on a private industrial estate. I launch in 2nd but am still going too fast as I'm not launching high enough in the first place

I'm getting much higher now and getting used to the bike "kicking" higher during changes from 2nd,3rd,4th. But still need to slow it down.
