1: they are nearly all ally, so would be just as soft as the original
2: non of the ones i have seen are big enough (needs to be M30!)
3; I wanted to try & keep the OE look
Like I said, will keep at it untill i get an answer!

I would love to put a dipstick in the storm pity its not possible.cybercarl wrote:Wow those slipper clutches look good. And those oil filler cap with dip sticks are cool, reasonable price as well.
I wonder how accurate the dipstick is. It's a shame those flebay covers don't have the smaller timing mark cap.

Just notice they are Yamaha oil caps. Will they fit out bikes?
Ah, should have explained. Don't use the dipstick ones, as fitted instead of the oil filler cap they will just hit the clutch. Not cool at all. What I had in mind was to cut the dipstick off; just use the head instead of the large inspection cap.cybercarl wrote:Wow those slipper clutches look good. And those oil filler cap with dip sticks are cool, reasonable price as well.

[/quote]Any cap will fit if it has the correct thread- check these before fitting.
I believe the Storm one is M30, but haven't looked up pitch.
Prob 1.5 or 2mm.
I know the feeling, I have spent a build of of more than a week. Nothing to be found, I am shocked that no 3rd parties make stainless bits for either the oil cap or generator cover bolts or even billet caps for the suspension.part of a week trawling the web with not much success

I was having a spare hour at work and knocked these up... did you want me to drop a set to you so you can try them and give me your views/opinions?
