headlight bulb question

Post by agentpineapple »

the firestorm uses a h4 bulb, my question is this, and it might be a stupid one at that, are h4 headlight bulbs the same for bikes aswell as cars?
i was in falfords earlier and the cheapest h4 bike bulb was £20 ffs and they had a better quality one for £30
as usual you can get them on ebay from as little as £6...... i feel a halfords five finger discount coming on...

Hafrauds are a rip off. I went there today and bought a half inch drive 10mm allen key socket. It was like £8 when I know they are cheaper on the bay. But it was convenience. b8stard
Is that a standard bulb you are looking at or an extra bright xeon bulb or one of those Phillips extra bright bulbs. As far as it being the same as a car I think a H4 should be a H4 where ever it is  Halfrauds do have a bike section too.

Sometimes Halfords do a 2-1 deal on car H4 bulbs which are exactly the same as bike bulbs not on offer...

Halfords 472EB H4 12V60/55W Xenon quad-core 2.66GHz

it might not be a bad idea getting a H4 Projector off ebay mate, stripping the headlight apart and fitting that?

headlight bulb question

I've had a 35w HID on mine for a couple of years, still works perfectly. (I did have some concerns about the dip solenoid/mechanism)

My only change might be to fit a 55w unit....
