Has your bike any other engine related modifications? Just interested as I think you are the only one to go for the short stacks, apart from Lord Benny of the Hedges, and his bike is modified. Interesting to hear the differences you noticed in the delivery.

Has art high level exhausts + k&n filter, which it has been jetted to suit, its a bit less frisky low down, i prefer this as i find i can use first easier, and it feels like it wants to get to the limiter more, also runs smoother and doesnt pop through the carbs as often. I like it and wouldnt change it back :)

Thanks for that mate, I will have to change mine over at some point and see what the difference feels like. I think I would prefer the low down grunt of the long stacks but I have the short ones lying around the garage so might as well have a go.

It obviously depends on your riding style but having more up top suits mine, and i wanted to be different lol, i guess some of the effect might be psycological, but i felt the difference

well today i have fitted a long front stack ( provided by and assisted by masterdave  )

only had a short ride with it in and i would say that appears to be free-er revving up to 5 or 6 thousand ,so to me it did seem to improve low range . now looking forward to having a proper blast on a fast road to see what the top end is like .
may be imagining it but could it reduce engine braking at all ?.
also believe it sounded a bit more throbby.... nice.

thanks again master d.

well only ridden mine twice since i fitted a second long stack but bike does react quicker and deffinitly more grunt just as you start to twist going for dna filter and dyno jet kit plus dyne time about 300 quid but think it will be time well spent
