For me, the best race ever was Ian Hislops battle on a Norton against Carl Fogarty in the Isle of Man TT. What a race! What year was that? Surely the classic race of all time

Ian Hislop! He is a panelist on Have I got news for you and looks like jimmy sommervile. You may be referring to the late, great Steve Hislop, who could ride a bike a bit!!

Got to agree with Image, that race was just awesome.

Some of the Rossi/Biaggi battles through the years have been great as well.

What about the last race of the BSB series, Hodgson vs Walker when Walkers bike blew up?

Rossi Vs Lorenzo at Catalunya, I think it was 2009. The last corner overtake where no overtake should be possible. Blinding.
Or Fogerty doing Chile at Assen, which provoked the mad Italian outburst. Sheene Vs Roberts British GP with them giving each other some very strange hand signals!
Just love racing really.

Love that race with foggy and chile where chile dropped it on the brakes at the last corner wombles epic battle, and aye your right he went berserk after the race but still on camera ranting about foggy

Yeah that was a cracker, having said that Stoner has repaid the complement in spades. Hopefully the Duke changes that are being implemented will make Rossi & Hayden competitive again.

Last year's BSB final, championship down to the last two yards over the line....
The tension just built and built all the way through the race, and then the end-of-season track invasion afterwards, getting myself and daughter in the background of the interviews in the pits by climbing over the wall.

Absolutely unforgettable.

Can't recall who was riding, though, or what the bikes were.
Burgers were a disgrace, which ruined the day entirely, now I come to think of it. Cheap brown sauce in an HP bottle- I felt so violated.

Yep deffo STEVE Hislop. Oh how the memories come back. I watched that race thinking he didn't have a chance on a British Norton and felt ashamed of myself when he won it.
