Noise levels

Anyone had a decibel reading with microns fitted? Doing the bikesafe/track day at castle combe in June and there's the usual limits :thumbdown:

I can't really help you with this one...what I will say though is that even if the same bike has the same exhausts fitted it will either be a touch louder or a touch quieter...no idea why lol
Only a few DB though...I realise this may be what gets you on track and what stops you though so I thought I better mention it :thumbup:

I'll probably just head over to the track one day before hand as they will test it for you prior to the event, its only a few miles up the road :thumbup:

Or get yourself a retro nokia for a fiver off ebay with a db meter built in
You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.

maplins sell a mini db meter for £15 or £20 iirc........... :thumbup:

You can download an app for the iPhone or Android phones, it's not that far off either

I had to fit standard cans for a Brands trackday last year and the intake was louder then the exhausts- and he still said it was a bit loud..... :thumbdown:

Why are some places so wombles Anal its a race track deal with it. its not happing in unsocial hours or all the time, what a faff


Do they have a different DB limit for BSB to WSBK, when i watched WSBK's the Noise was so much louder than any BSB race ive been to

well thats that question answered, just been over to castle combe and had it checked - 109 and limit is 105 so looks like standard cans will have to go back on that day :thumbdown:

Is that with or without baffles. :lol:

BSM yours must be easy 120db and I don't think mine are much less. :lol:
